Stanley march on again after a thumping victory against a big and powerful Thornhill side, who found out that Rugby league is played all over the field and not just down the middle. Thornhill came with only 8 players and this makes it very difficult for us to keep our strike players on, and any kind of consistency. The players however had no problem at all in keeping to the game plan that was planned. The shape, and structure of the team was amazing, with  fast and furious rugby league being displayed by all the players on the field.

The team as always were led from the front by all the forwards who did their job - Tommy Gant, Mathew Sowerby, Nick Fowler, Joe Crabtree, all produced go forward that enabled scrum half, and Parents man of the match Corry Eaton to direct us around the field. Corry produced a fine hat trick of tries to cap off a super performance, backed up by 4 try Thomas Sowerby playing at stand off, and taking the Opposition man of the match award, and causing havoc all the game, and nearly scoring another 3 tries in the bargain. Nick Fowler was again on top form, and is proving he can play in either the pack or the backs, and both with equal effectiveness.

The whole team played well, but for me, I thought Sean Smith produced another superb performance from hooker. His distribution was fantastic and it goes unnoticed by many, but is one of if not the most important position to play. The wingers played well, supporting any back moves and this led to the Magic Moment winner Ryan Ellison bagging a try of a well directed kick from Eaton.

Jordan O'Niell also pushed for the top tackler award just missing out, but leading from the front in attack.

Top Tackler was shared by Sean Smith and Mathew Hobson, both playing well, with Hobson being a menace to their defence, and very aggressive in defence. Mathew is a top player, and proves it every week.

This team goes from strength to strength, and winning is not the aim this year or next for me, its learning to keep the shape and structure that we want, and to bring all the players up to the same standard, and we are, in our opinion, going the right way.
The next fixture is against Featherstone Lions, a extremely hard fixture, and will show us where we are in terms of improvement.
