Stanley Rangers U11s were victorious at home this weekend against Methley.A very good defensive team performance as well as some very good individual performances in attack and defence.
Ben Goodlad had an outstanding game and picked up man of the match award along with Sam Clark who ran the show in the middle of the field. Lewis Locking went over for 2 tries and was awarded Player of the Week to complement his efforts in training as did Ross Grattan who put up a sound defensive performance. Adam Badkin's running game was brilliant and he came up with a fantastic individual try. Thomas Harwood converted 2 of the tries and and had a sound performance at stand off bringing his backs into play constantly.
Jordan Boyce picked up one of the Magic Moment awards for a brilliant try-saving tackle that could have turned the game either way. Kieran Holroyd had an outstanding game both in defense and attack and his back pass which created one of the tries earned him the other Magic Moment award along with the Top Tackler trophy. George Lord was once again solid in defence along with Jack Badkin. Corey Eaton was safe as houses at full back returning the ball magnificently and gaining good yards every time despite the apalling weather conditions. Daniel Blundell and Matthew Ogden both put on fine displays on either wing along with Harry Hirst in the second row.
