Stanley recorded a fine win against a Celtic side who played some very nice rugby, passing and moving with ease. Stanley always look foward to a fixture with Celtic, the players, parents, and coaches are great, and the game was a pleasure to watch.

 

Stanley again this week had a great platform to work with due to the impressive go foward by Tommy Gant, Reece Matysiak, and Mathew Sowerby, who all gave 110% effort.

 

The home man of the match was awarded to Mathew Sowerby who played his best game this season, running very hard, and tackling like a demon, and playing way above his weight, well done Mathew.

 

Matty Hobson also played his best game this year, defending well, and running some great lines. Matty also played at stand off in the second half, and looked superb, finishing off with a fab pass to Jordan O'Niell who raced 35 yards to score, and was awarded the opposition man of the match.

 

Jordan O'Niell another who played well, and for his determined running was awarded the magic moment, and this we hope will bring his confidance back, and some consistant performances from him, well done.

 

Thomas Sowerby bagged three try's in the second half, all three from deep in our own half to out pace every player on the field, one beating 6 defenders to score.

 

The other scores coming from Reece Matysiak, who blasted the defence apart from a full 50 yards to score a sensational 4 pointer, Levi Johnson running the show, and taking on the line at the slightest hint of a gap, Jordan O'Niell a well atken 30 yarder, and Nick Fowler who had to leave for medical treatment to a cut mouth.
