Stanley produced another very good performance against a side who stated we were the best side they had playedl.
Levi Johnson controlled the game from the outset with some good passing and tactical kicking and along with his sensational defence, the best in the league in my opinion, was awarded the Opposition Man of the Match. The halfbacks played well together, and if its Tom Sale, Levi, or Matty H they all produce the goods.
Matty Hobson again produced some great rugby league with a fine display of defence, and wonderful attack.Maty bagged two sensational tries, one from the kick off, to score on the first play of the game. Matty was awarded the Magic Moment for both his tries.
Coaches' Merit went to Tom Mynett who as usual tackled his socks off and did some quality running and produced a great overall display.
Man of the Match went to the best full back in the whole league. Thomas Sowerby scored, tackled and ran his blood to water. Thomas is great under any high balls, and we scored on the back of some great kick retrns, his try was from a wonderful pass from Levi 40 yards out to score.
Sam Tovey and Jacob Barnes both played fantastically throughout the whole game, as did big tank Reece Matysiak who was simply sensational in attack and defence.
The whole team played great, and defended like demons which in the end helped us win a very good game, played in a wonderful spirit.
Big rap to Knottingley for a great reception.
