Under 11s Match Reports, 2007-8 Stanley Rangers U11s v Shaw Cross Sharks U11s It was a day for the forwards as Stanley Rangers U11s continued their good early season form with a victory over a skilful and determined Shaw Cross Sharks team. Despite Shaw Cross showing enterprise going forward, unanswered first half tries from Matthew English and Max Jowitt saw Stanley go into the break with a deserved lead. In the second half Rangers continued their domination with another brace of tries, first from Matthew English, converted by Danny Johnson, and then by Danny Sowerby who put his own kick over. A late rally from Sharks tested Stanley’s resolve but a sustained all round effort own their own line kept the visitors out. Magic Moment went to Jacob Ware for his go forward play and Man of the Match awards to Matthew English, for a great all round performance, and Callum Sampson for his drive and tackling. |
