The first league fixture of the season saw the Wildcats travel to Wibsey and come away with a comfortable victory in the end.

The first half was close with the visitors opening the scoring with 2 tries from Jack Pemberton. The hosts replied with one score of their own to leave the half time score with the advantage to the Wildcats..

The second half was one way traffic down the slope, as the Wildcats managed to score a further 4 tries through Tom Shippen (2), Lewis Gower (1) and Alex Hobson (1). Again the hosts only scored the one try after some very strong defence by the Wildcats.

The  winners of  the Man of the Match awards went to Ben Fisher and Robert Hartley.
