Stanley very rarely get blown away in any game, but that is what happened in the first 10 minutes of the game against Castleford Panthers. Stanley facing a 14 to nil score line looked shell shocked and half asleep in the opening stanza in this game. The players regained their composure, and scored 44 unanswered points to record a scintillating and emphatic victory against a team who thought they had finally broken the hoodoo against us.

The Rangers side again was led forward by the awesome front row of Sampson, Cornell and Holmes, who all laid down the foundations for the backs to pull the strings. Callum Sampson was awarded the coaches man of the match, and even though he was outstanding, he was pushed very closely by Jonny Holmes and Ben Cornell who both contributed enormously to the eventual outcome.

Daniel Sowerby was at his clinical best, and produced an amazing game of passing and kicking that won him the opposition man of the match award, and fully deserved too. Daniel set up some wonderful scores, with hand and boot. The coaches were all unanimous in awarding Daniel the magic moment for a opposite direction cross field kick that was pin point perfect, and finished off by the outstanding  outside back Max Jowitt. Max was fully in tune with Danny, and when you have a player of Max's ability to score that any defence will be on their toes. Max was outstanding throughout, and again produced a wonderful ha trick and display of kicking.

Ben Hardaker showed his seasons best performance too at outside half, and ran, tackled and played with his usual high level of ability, coupled with a hot streak of tenacity. The same could also be said for Keiran Holt, who again was outstanding.
