Stanley Rangers U12s 38 v Drighlington U12s 14
20.09.08
The Rangers started their home campaign with a very good display of fast flowing open rugby. The team put down their mark in the first attacking set with a try scored by oposition Man of the Match Daniel Sowerby who was instrumental in the majority of the first half tries. Jonny Holmes and Callum Sampson again led from the front with a tremendous performance of front row rugby.
Max Jowitt displayed an adult-like performance with the boot, and managed to kick three conversions from the side lines. The Man of the Match winner Jonny Holmes was awsome all game, no errors, missed tackles, and loves the ball anywhere on the park, even of our own try line.
Magic Moment winner Mathew Hobson was great all game, but his kick returns were of a particularly high standard, and on one occasion made almost 70 metres beating 5 defenders.
The Rangers have a bye in the 1st round of the Yorkshire Cup, and will then face a tough task against Churwell, a side that we have never produced our best form against.
