Stanley Rangers Under 12s blasted Heworth off the park with a 48 points to nil victory against a side who normally give us more than a match in most departments.

Stanley showed a massive amount of effort, determination, and drive, but we moved away from the game plan, and has the game became more easier we struggled to remain composed and maintain our shape. The defensive effort was outstanding, the whole pack were dynamic to say the least, and  with forwards like Matty English, Callum Sampson, and Jonny Holmes, backed up by the home Man of the Match winner Kieran Holt it was no wonder the Heworth forwards struggled to dominate. Kieran Holt was very dynamic in both attack and defence, and ran some wonderful lines out wide, as well as doing the graft down the middle, and was awarded a well deserved man of the match award. The opposition man of the match award went to the impressive full back Danny Johnson. Danny showed his seasons best performance in defence with some wonderful kick returns and catches of every high ball they threw at him, well done Danny.

The player who came away with nothing but was outstanding throughout was Ben Cornell, he made more ground in this game than all the seasons games put together. Ben is developing into a sensational hooker, and a valued member of the pack.

Max Jowitt showed how valuable a quality goal kicker is,  with a vintage performance with the boot. His overall contribution was great and after banging 6 goals over he was awarded  the magical moment.

The team march on to Castleford Panthers next week for the local derby game.
