Stanley Rangers U12s Presentation Evening
10.05.09
The presentation night was a huge success with St Helens and GB super star Lee Gilmour in attendance. Gilly was great with the kids and parents alike, and stayed well over 2 hours chatting about himself and the game and was a credit to the Saints club.
The season as we all know has been superb, with the Yorkshire Division 1 championship in the bag, and now the District cup also won in great style.
The parents and players had a fantastic evening, the best yet during the awards ceremony, and we are all looking foward to a good pre season and the recruitment of some fresh new players to bolster the squad.
Martin Sowerby handed over the reins as coach to the rest of the coaching team, and wishes them the very best of luck for next season, and with Roy Sampson back in the mix, his experience and professionalism will be a massive boost for the boys along with James Brown who will also be heavily involved from next season. Mark Holmes and Tony English also are continuing on the team, and no doubt will add their resident enthusiasm to the mix.
