A fantastic tussle between two determined sides ended with a 6 points to 4 win for West Hull. The game was played in atrocious conditions with wind and rain, and a soft playing surface and that slowed the game down. The sides throughout the game were evenly matched, and it could have gone either way. This week the effort was there for all to see, even if at times the execution was not. We made far too many errors to grab a win, but with a weakened side, I am very proud of all the boys, and offer a huge well done to them too.

This game showed me the level we are at, and after beating the best from Lancashire, and in my honest opinion we have a lot more to offer than our performance against Hull, we are there or there abouts one of the best sides at this age group.

The fixtures continue next week with a home game against Heworth.
