Stanley Rangers started their BARLA Cup run with a 60 points to nil victory over York Acorn, who never gave in until the final whistle, and fair play to them too !

Jacob Ware scored 5 top drawer  tryies all from distance, and was awarded the Man of the Match from Stanley for his block-busting offence, and his ability to run some fantastic lines. The Opposition man of the match went to Daniel Sowerby who created most of the Stanley tries with a wonderful display of passing, and play making. Magic Moment went to Keiran Holt for a well taken hattrick whilst playing at centre, a position he is not used to playing, but took to it with ease.

The entire pack played well, as always front rowers Callum Sampson and Jonny Holmes led from the front, and Callum and Matty English both crossed for tries from set piece plays.

These games are diffecult for the side, but even when the game was well in the bag, we kept our shape, and for most parts played to the system they have been learning.

The boys have a well deserved rest next weekend then the next round of the cup, so it gives us plenty of time to recharge the batteries.
