If ever there was a game of 2 halves then this was surely the case when the Wildcats hosted Bradford-based Wibsey. The first half was all the Wildcats, registering 18 unanswered points with hooker Jack Pemberton opening the scoring. This was only the second time in 8 games that the Wildcats had managed this. The conversion was missed but Jack Pemberton then scored the second try soon after, his 5th of the season, after scooting in from acting half. Again the conversion was missed. Lewis Gower was next to cross the line with yet another conversion missed. The final try of the half saw Mark Bainbridge open his account for the season and with a successful kick from Jacob Unwin this left the half time score well in favour of the hosts.

The second half saw a very disjointed Wildcats take their foot off the gas and this allowed a determined Wibsey to get back in to the game and it was the visitors that opened the scoring with a well worked try and a conversion. Wibsey then went on to score the next try but this time the kick was unsuccessful leaving the score at 18-10. This seemed to wake the Wildcats up and they went on to add 2 further tries through winger Tom Shippen and Sam Mawson. This ended the Wildcats scoring for the game but Wibsey were not to be outdone with 2 further tries towards the end of the game. The score gave a closer look to the game and the Wildcats were deserved winners but a great effort from the Wibsey side.
