Stanley Rangers U13s 50 v Castleford Panthers U13s 0
06.03.10
Stanley came into this game again with players missing, but performed to a very high standard throughout the entire match. The game was short with only 25 mins in the first half and 23 in the second, and it did fly by.
The passing and movement along with the execution of plays out wide looked sharp, and crisp, with Holt, Hardaker and Hobson getting plenty of ball wide left, and Daly, and Hudson striking out wide right.
Sowerby and McGretton distributed well, with some fast balls from Ben Cornell allowing the game to flow.
The entire pack as always looked impressive from the off, with some hard driving, and and defending coming from every member of the forwards union.
Jack "the pirate" Donnegan played his best game so far, and every week is looking better and better, running great lines, and taking more ball.
English, Sampson, and Holmes as always did the hard stuff up the middle, and supported by the great centre partnership of Holt and Hudson we always looked to be on the front foot.
The game had a bit of a blip with Daniel Sowerby who was in great form being knocked out for a short period, and as a result being carted off to hospital via ambulance. He is concussed, but in good spirits.
Jowitt looked great at full back, and with Keaney back in the team we have options now we did not have previously.
The coaches decided not to award a man of the match, as all the players played their part this week, and worked as a team.
The Opposition Man of the Match was awarded to Will Hudson who was playing his first game for 4 months - how good was that. well done Will on a well deserved award.
