Stanley U13s Rangers travelled over to Wigan for this friendly game against Wigan and on the day a great game was had by all. The Wigan players, parents and coaches were very welcoming and made the whole day a pleasure.
Stanley played their part in this encounter and squandered 3 try scoring chances on the line to win the game, but on the day we just did not play well enough to clinch a victory.
Stanhley lost Will Hudson after 1 minute, and Kieran Holt just after half time, and struggled to contain the massive Wigan centre out wide who scored all the points for Pats.
The boys will have learned an awful lot from today and have now found that there is nothing to get nervous about coming over to Lancashire, and that we can compete with anyone over there.
Thanks again to the Wigan club, and we look forward to the return leg in wakefield pre season.
