Stanley Rangers U14’s lost on Sunday to Dewsbury Celtic in the YJARL Cup Preliminary Round 1.The game was a played in fairly strong winds, between two teams who both dug deep, hence this was a hard and close fought game.
Stanley took an early lead with 2 tries coming early in the first half. However Dewsbury maintained a strong defence and managed to score themselves. The score at half time was 6 to 14.
In the second both teams maintained the pressure, Dewsbury managing to overrun Stanley on a couple of occasions to achieve a final score of 28 to 20 at full time.
