Stanley Rangers turned up for the Wakefield Cup Final against Normanton Knights. They came into the game as underdogs but were determined to put up a fight.

Surely enough Stanley set out their stall early on and began to pile on the pressure. Stanley went into the halftime break 12-8 up.

Normanton woke up in the second half and had the slope advantage. Normanton capitilsed on some dubious decisions and began to pull out a lead. Stanley did hold on and kept the score to a respectable 36-12. This has to be seen as positive in the sense that Normanton are National champions.

Stanley you are more than capable of taking the Second Division. WELL DONE!
