Stanley marched on with their winning ways with an emphatic victory at Drighlington. Stanley did look to play and ignored the heavy conditions and blustery wind to produce he best second half of the season.

Stanley in the first 10 minutes had a real tussle and gradually started to win the arm wrestle in the middle of the park, and with a very short 10 metre interpretation.

The game was a very good one to watch, with some tough challenges, hard running, and fantastic skills on display from both sides. The game was a real credit to the players from both sides as they conducted themselves very well, and played the game in great spirit.

Stanley performed very well throughout, but stand out performances from Callum Sampson, Nathan Stone, Max Jowitt, Daniel Sowerby and Kieran Holt  helped the scoreboard increase.

Try scorers for Stanley were Max (4) - 3 of which he took from pin point kicks into the corner - Eddie Daly, Kieran Holt, Hallum Day from a superb offload from Brandon French.

Kieran Holt had a great game with the boot. The long kicks were superb and resulted in added pressure and points to us, supported by Daniel's short kicking game also resulting in 4 tries gave us a real scoring chance on most sets, only allowed by the solid platform laid down by our superb pack..

Sam Walker made his return to the side after a severe groin strain against Ince Rose Bridge in the cup, and performed very well once on the field. Ben Hardaker continued in his recent good form, as did Hallum Day.

The team were without Lee Alderson who is very close to a return to action, for the second week Jack Donnegan did not play due to injury, and we lost Will Hudson  in the opening minutes with concussion and a gashed head.

The overall performance was excellent, but you are only as good as your last game, and we need to maintain this level of intensity and skill if we are to overcome some of the teams we are playing this month, starting with Shevington Sharks in the BARLA National Cup semi final.
