Stanley had a very good day at the office with a well drilled and executed performance against a very big and enthusiastic Heworth side away from home.
The Stanley boys played a very structured game, implementing all the plays and moves that the coaching staff had implemented. The side looked very sharp in attack, but a very short 20 minute half and many stoppages restricted the Rangers in their offence.
Try scorers were McGretton, Holt, Jowett, Sowerby, Holmes (for his first competitive try in 6 years). Well done Jonny Boy! Cornell all performed very well, with some support from Donegan who again was outstanding, as was Callum Sampson having his season's best game. Eddie Daly again was outstanding in both attack and defence.
The cost however was very high as Yorkshire hooker Ben Cornell was lost with a badly broken hand and added to the long list of injuries we have.
