Skirlaugh Bulls U14s 12 v Stanley Rangers U14s 26
BARLA Cup, Round 2
30.10.10
Wow - who said Stanley had gone/ Who said we were a middle table side at best, too small and not fast enough, disorganized in defence, ect etc? Well to go to the current Hull and District Division 1 leaders and not only win, but win well just goes to prove that you should not make judgments on kids you know nothing about.
This Stanley side took on the challenge and grew into giants by dominating the first half, but going in behind after a last minute try to the Bulls put them in front by 14 points to 10.
The second half was a bruising and tense 25 minutes, and Stanley scored another 16 points without conceding any and thoroughly deserved to go into the next round after playing a top side in their back yard, and sticking to the task.
