Stanley had a very hard first 15 minutes against a huge Upton side who came out determined and up for the battle ahead.
The home side had the majority of the possession early on, and Stanley had to fight to get out of our own half against a strong wind, and up hill.
The first score was a result of some sweet passing with Tom McGretton drawing a man and serving a short ball to dynamic debutante Lee Alderson who bagged the first of his three tries.
The game had three new players in Alderson, Brandon French, and Nathan Stone who himself bagged two scores on debut.
The whole team played well with some strong running from Jack Donnegan, and with the sensational Kieran Holt and Ben Cornell in top form we looked very good. Daniel Sowerby had a great game serving up some great passes, and was voted Opposition Man of the Match. Jowitt looked good at the back, and big Hal Day looks better by the week.
