Westgate Wolves U14s 32 v Stanley Rangers U14s 12
26.10.10
Stanley had to eat some humble pie after being out played, out scored, and out enthused by a very big, fast, and powerful Westgate side.
The early loss of one of our play makers, and an heavy penalty count took its toll with Westgate quickly scoring 18 points. The Westgate side, with 4 former Stanley Rangers players in their ranks, had a lot to prove and did just that by winning and winning well.
Stanley last season lost the second game of the season by the same margin to Stanningley and as a result were written off by everyone, but to our credit we came back and proved everyone wrong by winning the title, lets hope that the boy’s can do what everyone thought we couldn’t do last year and bounce back from a heavy and humiliating defeat.
