Rangers crashed out of the Continuation Cup with a 24-12 home defeat to Whinmoor.

During a close fought first half James Raywood forced his way over in the corner followed by Adie Carr with James Glover converting one of the tries to leave the scores level at 10-10.

Injury to hard working forward Liam Grimmet early in the second half cost Rangers dear and their only points of the second half were a penalty goal to James Glover as Whinmoor eased their way into the semi finals.
