Due to adverse weather conditions Stanley conceded home advantage to play the match. Blustery conditions and a stretched playing squad proved a hurdle too much.

.Dewsbury`s larger squad physically and in numbers,had Stanley on the back foot all the game,losing out 46-4.Tom Consterdine with his try and non-stop effort was Man of the Match.
