A superb defensive effort secured the points in this top of the table clash which could see Rangers claim the title if East leeds fail to win 1 out of the last 5 games to play, with Rangers just the one game to play against Elland.

Tries from Adam Mcgretton, Raywood, Richardson and a match winning try from Josh Scott claimed the victory to the delight of the players and spectators.

A classy individual try from Mcgretton dancing between several defenders under the posts gave Stanley a 6-0 lead at the break.

Raywood darted over after the break to give Stanley a 12 point cushion, but a lazy 10 minutes spell saw East Leeds run 16 unanswered points in to take 16-12 lead. But Stanleys never-say-die attitude sprung them into a response with Richardson crashing over which Glover converted 18-16.

Rangers were playing with 12 players due to the sin-binning of Hartness but further pressure on the East leeds quarter saw Josh Scott power over in the corner to cement the victory. Josh Judd, James Glover and gamestar Jordan Arthur were the pick of a fantastic team display.
