Stanley managed to cling to there unbeaten record with a hard fought victory over Wibsey in difficult conditions.
Stanley put the hosts under pressure from the start and opened the scoring in the first five minutes with a well worked try finished off by Jake Smith, who also converted. Stanley went further ahead through Alfie Goddard and Declan Honeyman with man of steel Jake Smith again involved in most of Stanley’s moves. Wibsey fought back early in the second half and crossed for two tries without reply. Stanley managed to muscle there way back into the game with Declan Honeyman running from inside his own half to score, repelling four or fives attempted tackles on the way, winning him the outstanding effort award. Wibsey did hit back with a last minute try but it wasn’t enough to end Stanley’s unbeaten run.
Top Tackler went to Ben Green and Man Of the Match went to the impressive Stephen Gibbs.
