Stanley Rangers got their season underway with a mightily impressive performance against a tough Wibsey side. Stanley coped well with the 'new rules' they are learning from last season, with Jake Smith, Owen Trout and Alfie Goddard performing very impressively from the 'marker' position, closing the Wibsey forwards down before they could make any inroads into the Stanley defence. The Stanley forwards did some great early work with Ryan Snowden, Owen Trout, Kyle Holdroyd, Stephen Gibbs, and Declan running the ball in very strongly. Top Tackler went to Jake Smith, with Owen Trout taking the 'Man of Steel' award. Man of the Match was shared between Alfie Goddard and Ryan Snowden.
