On 2nd April 2010, Stanley Ranges ARLFC were presented with their Clubmark Gold award at the Hearwell Stadium at the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats match against Castleford Tigers. The club has continued its accreditation since it first gained its Sport England Clubmark status in 2005.
The Clubmark award means that the club has high standards of child protection and safety, quality coaching, equal opportunities and good management. Clubmark is built around a set of core criteria which ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent and accepted minimum operating standards. It is now universally recognised by clubs wishing to show good practice and demonstrate commitment in developing young people within their club. It is promoted and carefully branded, by Sport England.
Clubmark criteria encompasses the 4 areas below:
- Playing/participation programme.
- Duty of care and safeguarding and protecting children.
- Knowing your club and its community.
- Club management.
