A hard fought win in the last home game saw Stanley Rangers beat Waterhead Warriors 20-18 in the last home game of the season.
Stanley began brightly with a Sam Swire try on the 12th minute, successfully converted by Danny Grice. This was followed by a Danny Grice try which he also converted giving Stanley a 12-0 lead. Waterhead Warriors replied with a try by Danny Hurley converted by Jamie Mayall. Stanley went into the interval 16-6 ahead.
In the closing stages of the game Stanley were 20-12 ahead thanks to further tries from Swire and Grice but Waterhead fought back with a Scott Owen try and in a tense finish the visitors added a last-minute try for Jamie Aspin, converted by Jamie Mayall giving the final score 20-18 to Stanley Rangers.

This win moves Stanley into 10th place above Dewsbury Celtic and Waterhead Warriors.
Next weekend is the final game of the season away at Gateshead Storm, kick off 2.30pm.
