Stanley played one of the only two games played over the Easter weekend hosting Gateshead Storm at Lee Moor on Saturday and in this bottom-of-the-table clash Rangers won 20-12 in their first win of this season.
Gateshead took the lead in the ninth minute with a try from David Weetman, improved by Zack Clark. Rangers however hit back with two unconverted tries by Billy Cooper and Craig Williamson. At half time the score remained at 8-6.
The game continued in the balance until the hour when Jordan Walker crossed the whitewash, the try being converted by Craig Williamson. Although Gateshead's James Pocklington added a further try for the visitors which was converted by Zack Clark it wasn't enough and the two points went to Stanley.
Rangers Man of the Match was Joe Binns.
