16-man Rangers travelled to Oldham but despite a spirited second-half fight were beaten 70-16.

Oldham recorded two tries and eleven goals for Matt Whitehead with 2 tries apiece for Paddy Fitzsimmons, Kieran McGinnity and Calum Cashin. Additional tries for the home side came from Sam Sykes, Jamie Dalloway, Rob Charles and Craig Basnett. However, despite being 40-0 down at half tiime, Rangers never gave up and fought back with tries by Lee Alderson, Jack Gordon and Jordan Walker with goals kicked successfully by Connor McLellan and Neil Ackroyd.
