A rain-lashed game saw Crosfields gain only their fourth win of the season.

Defences dominated the first half as Stanley's Billy Maxwell and Ben Walker tried to break down the Crosfields defence. Crosfield's Phil Bannon and Craig Noone led the way for the visitors. Crosfield gained the only points of the first half with a Pete Royle penalty.

In the second half, Crosfield's Bannon scored a try which was converted by Royle to give the visitors an 8-point lead. Crosfield's Matt Thomas and Matty Pitt defended well, whilst Stanley's substitute David Brown tried all he knew to get his side back into contention.

The final match of the season next weekend is away to Millom.
