Well another brilliant day of rugby, Rangers played
at home at Rangers Park, an unfamiliar pitch for the u11s.
Stanley started their game a little slow, slightly
subdued after a week of SATS! They soon woke up when they realised that
Boothtown had done their homework from last time we played them, and
were not going to lie down and be walked over. Stanley dominated the
first half with good forward play from Keany, Dove, Fletcher and
Cawthra, and some outstanding kicking from Wright!! Boothtown fought
back and put up a good fight with some good play out wide to capitalise
on Stanley's poor defence.
Stanley continued their dominant play in the second
half, and proved that their pack and forwards are a force to be reckoned
with. Some great runs from our backs Kirk, Talbot and Wright.
Players player went to our newest recruit Findlay
Corke, a close second was Charlie McCabe with Fletcher, Cawthra and Kirk
all picking up awards.
Thanks to our team captain Matthew Talbot, our
coaches John and Mark team manager Joanne, oh and me TLM Andy.
