The Rangers again produced a vintage performance in defence, proving that they are a very tough nut to crack. The final score of 28 points to nil was flattering to Heworth, with three easy try scoring chances not taken, and two in the last stages of the game.
Danny Johnson was awarded the Man of the Match, and was very solid in defence, secure under the high ball, and positionally excellent. Man of the Match 2 went to the tireless Alex Parker, who produced a season's best performance in attack and defence, and led from the front. Magic Moment went to Kieron Holt for a 60 yard try down the left side of the field that any winger would be proud of, never mind a back rower.
Danny Sowerby created from the middle, with a very good display of passing, and playmaking. The props Sampson and Holmes as always produced the goods when needed, great in attack, awsome in defence.
Try scorers Sowerby, Holt, Hardaker, and Cornell, the latter being a scoot from dummy half for a fine 15 yarder.
The Rangers face Castleford Panthers next week for the final showdown of the campaign. The side are looking to finish the season with another 100% record, lets see if we can do it, against a strong, and big Cas side.
