Stanley Rangers under 11's with a below par attacking game produced a victory due to a defensive effort any coach at any level would have been proud of. The whole team fought so hard to keep the relentless wave of Lock Lane attacks at bay. The unusual occurance of 8 consecutive incomplete sets put a huge amount of pressure on the defensive line, but it held firm.

 

The pack was in great form, with Jonny Holmes and Mathew English taking the man of the match honors with displays of superb defence, and attack. Harry Shillitto also proved a contender for a medal, with some barn storming runs, which pleased all the coaching staff.

 

Big Tank Jacob Ware ran well on the fringes, and was awarded the opposition players man of the match.

The whole team will need to improve in attack, if we are to continue on with a winning streak next week against a well drilled, and organised Heworth side at home.
