The fixture we all look foward to playing, ended in a fine victory for the Rangers.

Stanningley came out fired up, and the Rangers met and more than matched them in every department. Kieran Holt the new sensation in the pack blasted through a tight Stanningley defence to open up the scoring, followed up with a try from Ben Hardacre who was put through a gap by a wonderful short pass by Callum Sampson. The next try was a wonderful solo effort by Danny sowerby, which took us to half time.

Two lapses in concentration allowed Stanningley to score two very good tries, but Jacob Ware's blockbusting running ended in a 50-yard effort by the big centre. Man of the Match was shared by the two front rowers Callum Sampson and Johnny Holmes. Their tireless efforts in both defence and attack laid the platform for Danny Sowerby to direct us round the field. Sowerby was awarded opposition Man of the Match after a very good display of running , kicking and defence. Danny Johnson was very unlucky in not being awarded anything, as he was simply outstanding at the back, showing a wonderful ability to be solid and safe under an high ball, and bravery in attack.
