Rangers came out 60 points to 18 victors in this local derby game, played at Belle Vue stadium on Sunday.
The Rangers were asked to perform with a depleated side, with 5 first choice players missing, and still produced a vintage performance on a smaller than normal field, and players playing in unfamiliar positions. Jacob Ware scored 5 tries on the day, all out wide, and it was good to see the ball getting to the wings, for Big Jake to attack. The whole side played very well, with Harry Shillitto and Grub Pawsey again showing massive improvement in attack. This team showed that even without the likes of Matty English, Alex Parker, Max Jowitt, Dom Jones, and Sam Walker all who are suberb players, it can perform to a very high standard. Ben Hardacre showed his presence in attack, as did Callum Sampson and Ben Cornell, who showed his distribution skills to perfection, and reminded us of what we missed last week.
The Rangers play Stanningley next, and this is the game we all want to play in, and with some players missing will be the test of all tests for us, but one we cant wait for too.
