This Sunday saw the Under 9's take on Thornhill Trojans at home. It was a big day for the team,  as they were playing on our top pitch, and playing under 10's rules for the first time. They played some good solid junior rugby, that they have shown all season, and displayed an early understanding of the 10's rules.
It was nice to see more passing and looking for gaps in the defence.
The first half was fast paced and high scoring, with many try's being scored throughout the team. The second half saw Thornhill Trojans settle in, and they started to put pressure on us with 3 try's in succession, but Stanley stuck in there, and when they started passing the ball around more, they looked great.
The two teams played some entertaining rugby in a fast and fair game, and at the final whistle we came out comfortable winners.
Kieran Worth won Opposition Player of Match
Lewis Wright won Parents Player of the Match
Matthew Talbot won the Coaches award for taking his training into a game.
Joseph Saine Cawthra won Special Achievement Award for his strength and awareness.
A special mention to Phoebe Holmes on her debut.
