Sheffield Hawks v Stanley Rangers
30.06.19
Stanley Rangers made the trip over to Sheffield Hawks and were
greeted by glorious conditions, although at times it felt a bit
too warm.
After a positive warm up Rangers started off fully switched on,
which they maintained throughout the game. The Hawks had the
numerical advantage but the Rangers defence worked well together,
getting good numbers in the tackle preventing the Hawks making
much yardage in attack.
Even though Rangers were dominant in defence, putting some big
tackles in, to their credit the Hawks never stopped running, but
it was great to see Rangers sticking to the task and not switching
off. In attack Rangers started strongly again, picking up where
they left off from the previous week.
As the game progressed
Stanley started to pass the ball more creating space out wide and
allowing some great team tries to be scored once again.
