A very hard game, played in good spirit, and fast paced throughout. Stanley opened the try scoring with three (3) fast tries from Tom Sowerby, who got injured and left the field of play after 10 minutes. Tommy "steamtrain" Gant was awsome in both attack and defence, causing LockLane no end of trouble, and was awarded the Man of the Matrch as selected by the opposition coaches. TG closly matched Nial Fitzsimonds for Top Tackler, but just fell short to Nial who worked tirelessly throughout the entire encounter.
